In contrast to the emptiness of the mixed media landscapes, I use printmaking as a vehicle to show the detail within these places as well as the natural world I observe as a city dweller. The joy that seasonal flowers, courting birds and the urban foxes of the garden bring me are a reoccurring theme.
The precision and process of printmaking demands a calm and steady hand and is a highly mindful process allowing me to reflect at length on the wonder of nature – even in the city!
